Artificial Intelligence (AI) gets talked about like it’s some mystical magic box that either saves your life or steals your job. People hype it up, fear it, and argue about it like it’s the third parent in the household. Most of the time, what they are actually arguing about is the most basic level of AI, the simple and predictable stuff. The copy and paste chatbot version of AI that replies like a polite intern reading off a script. The real power of AI lives deeper than that. It lives in the part most people never see. The part built on structure and meaning instead of cute outputs. That is exactly where Frames in Artificial Intelligence come in.

If you read the first article in this 3 part series, Agentic AI Evolution Leaves Chatbots and LLMs Behind, then you already know the world is shifting. We are officially moving past the stage where AI simply reacts. Now we are stepping into the era where AI understands, and the engine behind that understanding is built on Frames.

Frames are the missing link most people never learn about. They are the invisible outline that allows AI to grasp the structure of the world without you explaining every single detail. When you understand Frames you stop treating AI like a toy and start using it like a tool. Then, you finally see the level of intelligence behind systems that use Frames well.

So let’s break it down in what I like to call real Christi language.  No long and complicated textbook explanations or technical mazes that have no exits.  Just something that is like an AI for dummies, the easier to understand the better.

Frames in Artificial Intelligence

Here is the breakdown, if we strip away the complicated definitions, a Frame is just a structured package of knowledge. Think of it like a mental template or blueprint. A Frame holds all the typical things that belong to a specific situation, object or experience.

In the first article we talked about how Agentic AI evolves by moving beyond simple pattern matching. This article zooms in even further to show exactly how that evolution becomes possible. Frames are the foundation.

When learning more details about Frames, I found that 1forall.ai explains that Frames work like clusters of attributes and relationships. They are knowledge structures that represent stereotyped situations in AI. They hold default values, expected actions, typical roles, and the usual relationships between everything inside that situation.  Meaning, a Frame is the preloaded understanding the AI already has before you start typing.

Let’s use some Christi language here. Imagine you walk into your garage and see a toolbox open, a drill plugged in, and your kid yelling from the hallway asking if you know where the extension cord is. You don’t need a dissertation to understand what is happening. Your brain automatically pulls up the “working on a project” Frame.

AI uses the same style of automatic recognition. A Frame is the system saying, “Oh, I know what this is supposed to look like. Let me fill in the details.”  Good Frames give AI the ability to understand the world the way humans naturally do. Not through memorization, but through structure.  This is why agentic systems like Ryker and DOMINAIT feel different. They leverage Frames heavily, not as add ons, but as foundational logic.

How Frames Work Behind the Scenes

Frames are not loose or abstract. They are structured models with clear components. Research shows that Frames typically contain:

  • Default values
  • Expected attributes
  • Typical actions
  • Inherited properties
  • Relationships between objects and roles

In other words, a Frame is a full internal map, it’s how the system knows what belongs and what doesn’t.

Geeksforgeeks.org explains that Frames use slots and fillers. Slots are the pieces of knowledge needed and fillers are the values or objects that complete those pieces. This lets AI reason quickly, because the structure is already in place.

Illustration of a doctor entering a room to call a patient while a nurse prepares paperwork, used to explain how Frames help artificial intelligence understand real-world situations without detailed instructions. DOMINAIT.ai branding includedFor example, a doctor appointment Frame has slots for doctor, patient, check in, waiting room, vitals, exam, diagnosis, treatment plan, and follow up. If AI reads, “she waited for her name to be called while filling out paperwork”, the system instantly activates the doctor appointment Frame. It doesn’t need a full explanation because it fills in the setting and roles naturally.

This is exactly why some AI systems feel smart and some feel disconnected. The ones with rich Frames understand more with fewer words.  Christi language, a rich frame is very detailed and complex, it captures a lot of information about a specific concept or scenario.

In the Agentic AI Evolution part one article we talked about how Agentic AI steps away from reactive chatbot behavior, here is the reason why. Systems like Ryker and DOMINAIT don’t just store Frames, they interpret them, adjust them, and reason inside them.

Why Frames Matter in Modern Artificial Intelligence

AI today covers so many domains that simple pattern matching is not enough. Modern AI must recognize context, understand roles, and reason about what is normal versus what is unusual. Supporting sources emphasize that Frames allow AI to process knowledge in a way that mirrors human thought. They create a foundation for intelligent behavior.

Here is what Frames allow AI to do:

  • Understand reality instead of only text
  • Reason about what is missing
  • Fill in gaps in human language
  • Recognize logic
  • Detect when something is out of place
  • Handle complexity with less instruction

Without Frames, AI becomes a somewhat glorified autocomplete machine. Still cool and useful, but shallow.  With Frames, AI becomes a reasoning partner, like Ryker and DOMINAIT, built for real world thinking and problem solving.  Frames give AI grounding, and that grounding changes everything.

Dynamic Frames and the Evolution Beyond Chatbots

Traditional Frames were static, and once created they stayed the same. That worked in the early days of AI but it doesn’t work in a world where everything changes rapidly.  This is where my first article’s core message comes in again. We saw how Agentic AI evolves beyond chatbots because it can adapt. That adaptability comes from dynamic Frames.

Supporting research explains that Frames can use inheritance to update themselves. Advanced systems use dynamic Frame structures that change based on context, experience, domain knowledge, and new information.  Christi language, a Frame is dynamic when it can be modified or updated in real-time to adjust to new information.

Ryker and DOMINAIT operate with dynamic Frames. Meaning, they do not rely on outdated templates, they analyze, expand, refine, and reinterpret Frames constantly. This is why these systems feel intuitive. They are not stuck, because they are constantly moving and learning.

In Christi language, old AI stayed in the past, Ryker and DOMINAIT stay in the moment, and use Frames to keep up with the world, not lag behind it.

Frames vs Chatbots vs Agentic AI

I need to make this part very clear, because this is where people tend to misunderstand AI the most. In my first article Agentic AI Evolution, I explained how chatbots fall short.

Chatbots are keyword machines, when you type a phrase, it spits back something related to those words.  Traditional AI is based on patterns, it predicts based on what came before.  Agentic AI uses Frames to understand the situation before responding. It reasons about context, interprets meaning, and has actions with autonomy.  This is the massive difference between a chatbot that reacts, and a system like Ryker that reasons.

DOMINAIT is more than an AI platform because it uses Frames at the core.  It doesn’t use Frames as an accessory, it uses them as the engine.

Why Understanding Frames Gives You an Edge

This part matters for both creators and business owners.  Most people use AI the old school way, prompting and praying, throwing a hundred words at the system and hoping one comes back shining.  People who understand Frames communicate with AI the way AI actually thinks.

When you write prompts using Frame logic you get:

  • richer insights
  • clearer reasoning
  • better outputs with fewer words
  • more accurate results
  • more complex workflows
  • more reliable consistency

Using AI with Frame awareness is like speaking its native language.  Frames turn AI from a helper into a strategic advantage.  Frames help turn Ryker from a tool into a partner.

Take Away Moment

Frames are not just a concept in AI, they are the backbone of understanding. The structural foundation that separates shallow response machines from true reasoning systems. If you have ever wondered why Ryker feels intuitive or why DOMINAIT behaves like the next level of intelligence, part of the answer is Frames. Dynamic, Evolving, and Real world Frames.

The people who master AI in the next decade will not be the ones who type the longest prompts, it will be the ones who understand how AI thinks; and that begins with understanding Frames.

If you want to experience the difference for yourself, now is the time. DOMINAIT.ai is offering pre-launch pricing for early adopters who want access to agentic intelligence before everyone else realizes what is happening. Ryker is part of that evolution, and Frames are one of the reasons these systems will leave traditional AI behind.
