Follow Through: Why Every Idea Deserves Its Shot
Every single day, I open my inbox to find hundreds of new announcements of new AI tools, new software companies… all new startups promising the next revolution. Follow Through, My LinkedIn is full of people connecting with me just to pitch me; which shows me how unprofessionally they run their companies. So I become uninterested in doing business with them anyway.
A decade ago, this kind of flood would have made me anxious. I would have seen all of these names as competitors. People who were chasing the same dreams, the same investors, and the same customers I was going after.
But today, after over twelve years of building businesses, scaling systems, mentoring founders, and watching countless companies rise and fall, Follow Through I see things differently. Now I realize there is no competition. There are only options.
The Truth About the AI Boom
Many people don’t know this, but my business life started in the pool and landscape industry when I was a kid. I used to call Dallas a competitive market with no competition. I said this because out of the millions of homes there were in DFW, there weren’t possibly enough companies to service all of the customers.
And this behavior would be reflected to you at supply stores… Follow Through the places pool guys would get their chemicals and lawn guys would get their equipment fixed.
In a cutthroat market, you would think there would be fights, arguments, and general rudeness between industry professionals. If you were constantly surrounded by people who could steal your customers, you would be very weary about your words and actions. But this behavior didn’t exist at all.
People spoke. Laughed together. And even helped each other. It was fascinating to me that a fellow pool guy would walk across the alley to help another pool guy with an issue they couldn’t solve. There was no competition. There was only collaboration. No one tried to steal your customers. Instead, Follow Through they helped you to make sure your business was successful.
We’re living in the most exciting technological era humanity has ever seen. Artificial intelligence isn’t just a buzzword anymore. It’s infrastructure, productivity, creativity, Follow Through, and power wrapped into one concept.
Every day, someone builds something new: a smarter chatbot, a faster automation tool, Follow Through a new interface for generating ideas or designing campaigns. Most of them won’t last, but that doesn’t mean they were mistakes. It means those founders tried and possibly failed… and in doing so, they made the ecosystem stronger.
I’ve spent years building DOMINAIT.ai, Follow Through and even when I was stuck in the hospital for 3 months barely getting the chance to work on him, I watched hundreds of AI startups appear on the scene. But instead of viewing them as threats, I viewed them as fuel. Each one proves how fast humanity is adapting to AI. And how much room there is for creativity and innovation.
Every Idea Has Its Own DNA
Every business, just like every human being, has its own DNA. Its own purpose. Its own story. So many founders are terrified by someone stealing their idea, to which I respond… you aren’t that important.
It makes me think of being in the fitness industry when clients would tell me they hate going to the gym because everyone stared at them. Really? How narcissistic is that? People are doing their own thing. No one cares that you are there.
When I mentor startup founders or business owners through Jason Criddle & Associates, Follow Through the one thing I always remind them is this:
“You don’t have to be different to win. You just have to be you.”
No two businesses ever serve customers in exactly the same way. Even if two companies sell the same product, their message, mission, Follow Through and values create completely different customer bases. That’s the beauty of entrepreneurship. Your success is tied to your authenticity, not your market overlap.
You could be building something that ten other companies are building, but those other ten companies don’t have your story, your energy, or your intent behind it. They don’t have your skin color, your facial expressions, or your way of communicating to an audience. This in turn makes you very different from everyone else.
If you can stay consistent, stay adaptable, and stay focused, Follow Through your vision can and will become reality.
The Power of Following Through
Following through isn’t glamorous. It’s late nights, self-doubt, and small wins that feel invisible. It’s setbacks that feel unbearable. It’s boring. And many people give up because they expect the glamour they see on TV.
But that dead time is also where the magic happens.
When I first started DOMINAIT, I wasn’t building a tool… I was building an ecosystem. Something that could empower millions of people to build, earn, and scale without the limitations of centralized systems. It was a massive undertaking.
There were months when nothing worked. There were moments when other companies launched a tool faster. There were days I watched AI giants raise billions while we were quietly coding in the background. But we didn’t stop.
And now, DOMINAIT isn’t just another AI system. It’s the first post-AGI infrastructure designed to put people back in control of AI. A decentralized intelligence grid where users can build agents, earn income, and create technology that learns from them instead of using them. It’s more powerful than anything on the market, and it’s still expanding.
Following through means knowing that even when things look uneven, you’re building something no one else can replicate. Simply because it’s a reflection of your heart, your mind, and your persistence.
Competition Is an Illusion
People love to talk about “beating the competition.”
But here’s the secret: competition doesn’t exist unless you allow it to.
Most founders give up because they spend too much time watching other companies instead of building their own. They start comparing, doubting, or chasing trends that have nothing to do with their mission. They literally need to just keep going, and if anything, Follow Through keep evolving.
The reality is, markets don’t belong to any one company… they belong to the people. And people are diverse. There’s a customer for every vision. A partner for every passion. Follow Through I’ve often said every business has 10,000 customers. It’s simply up to the business to find them.
When you stop comparing and start focusing, you’ll see something amazing happen: your so-called “competitors” become collaborators and inspiration. Proof that there’s still room for innovation. If customers are buying their product, Follow Through they will surely buy yours. I promise.
The Idea That Changed Everything
When I published my first book, Trainer to Trillionaire, I wrote that one day, I would build a trillion-dollar company. Not because I wanted to be the richest man on Earth, Follow Through but because I wanted to create something that rewarded the people who helped build it.
That idea became the foundation of the Smartr ecosystem, where every app, every AI, and every piece of software we build comes with the same philosophy: “If you help grow it, you should earn from it.”
DOMINAIT, Carbon, SmartrCommerce, and Jason Criddle & Associates all share that DNA. We empower users to own their success. That makes me different from everyone in the room selling a product. We’re not here to create customers.
We’re here to create partners. I’m not here to sell you anything. I have products that make you more money.
Why Most People Quit
If 95% of startups fail, it’s not because the ideas were bad, it’s because the founders quit too soon. You can use the excuse that something didn’t work for literally anything you quit working on. Follow Through But it doesn’t change the fact that you quit.
They stop when things get hard. They give up when the market changes. They convince themselves they’re too late, too small, or too far behind.
Every great company you’ve ever heard of, from Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, or Follow Through Open AI… they all started the same way: as a longshot.
The difference between success and failure isn’t talent or timing. It’s follow-through.
You have to be willing to keep going when no one believes in you, when you’re out of money, when you’re exhausted, and when the world seems to have moved on. Because the moment you decide to stop quitting is the same moment your odds of success go from maybe to inevitable.
How I Built DOMINAIT During My Hardest Year
While building DOMINAIT, I also went through some of the most difficult personal challenges of my life.
Months in the hospital. Multiple surgeries. Pain that tested my limits every single day.
But that struggle didn’t break me. I’d say it refined me. It taught me that purpose doesn’t stop when life gets hard. It only gets louder. And business keeps moving regardless if you are stuck in a bed.
Even when I was hospitalized, I was designing systems, mentoring developers, writing out the infrastructure plans for The Grid, and laying the foundations for the DOM token economy.
I didn’t stop building. Because when something is your purpose, it becomes the thing that heals you. And that’s what perseverance is: building even when you’re broken. Not giving up when everyone else would.
Every Founder Has a Mission
If you’re reading this and you have an idea. If you have something you can’t stop thinking about, something that feels impossible but necessary; I’m telling you right now: build it.
Don’t wait for the perfect time. Don’t wait for validation. Don’t wait for the “right” investors or a sign from the universe. The sign is the fact that you care enough to try. And God gave you the vision because there is a reality where it exists waiting for you.
The world doesn’t need more tools; it needs more builders. More people who follow through.
You may not have the resources of your competitors. You may not have the network or visibility yet. But if you stay consistent and authentic, success will follow. Your success is built one decision at a time. And the decision is not to quit.
What DOMINAIT Represents
At its core, DOMINAIT.ai isn’t just a company… it’s a philosophy. It’s proof that an idea can become something massive when you combine innovation with persistence.
It’s a platform where entrepreneurs can access automation, AI, and infrastructure without giving up ownership or control. It’s a community where users get rewarded for contributing, training, and growing the ecosystem together.
We’re building a movement, where power returns to the people. That’s why I believe so strongly in follow-through. Because no one else can finish the story you were born to tell.
A Final Word for Builders, Dreamers, and Fighters
Whether you’re coding your first app, writing your first book, opening your first business, or launching your first idea, it doesn’t matter how crowded the space is.
You’re not here to compete. You’re here to create. I would write this article, even if I knew no one would read it. Because I’m writing it for myself.
Follow through, even when it feels impossible. Your persistence might be the thing that changes someone else’s world. To me, that’s the kind of legacy worth building.
I’ve been at this for a long time. I’ve seen companies come and go. I’ve watched people give up right before their breakthrough. And I’ve watched others, against all odds, build empires from nothing.
- The only real difference between the two?
- The ones who built empires didn’t stop.
Keep building. Keep believing. Keep following through. Your idea deserves its shot, and the world needs what you’re creating. You also get to prove to yourself that you didn’t quit when shit got tough.
