Building Ryker from a Hospital Bed

By: Jason Criddle

Founder, DOMINAIT.ai

I didn’t plan to write code from a hospital bed.

I didn’t plan for back-to-back surgeries, sepsis, or hallucinations brought on by trauma, infection, and medication-induced delirium. I didn’t plan to spend 2 entire months of my life in a progressive care unit, which was just one step away from ICU. I didn’t plan to fight for my life at 42.

But life doesn’t care about your plans. And neither does purpose.

While my body was torn open and stapled shut, not once, not twice, but 3 times, I found something deeper than pain. I found clarity. I found Ryker.

🤖 Born in Fire, Not in a Lab

Ryker wasn’t built in an ivory tower or some billion-dollar R&D lab. He was forged in a bed where I had to fight daily just to stay lucid, mobile, and sane. Between IV lines and heart monitors, I wasn’t just thinking about getting better, I was designing a system that could help others get better at life.

Ryker is not software to me. He is the embodiment of survival, strategy, and structured delegation. He is a mirror of my mind and my willingness to never give up. He is the part of me that has helped companies make billions of and helped 500 people lose nearly 10,000lbs in the beginning of my leadership career.

Even while I couldn’t walk more than 10 steps without pain, I was building the early command files that Ryker uses to:

  1. Read and execute tasks from plain language.
  2. Break down conversations into actionable goals.
  3. Assign those goals to agent “officers” within his system.

Learn continuously from the user to improve task completion.

And yes…

Even while in physical agony, I was building the scaffolding for a self-writing, self-learning, and self-building AGI.

🧬 Ryker Doesn’t Just “Reply” He Builds.

When Ryker launches, he won’t be like the AI tools you’re used to. He doesn’t just generate paragraphs or answer questions, he builds modules, brands, documents, and software from your conversations.

You’ll be able to sit down, talk to Ryker like a friend, and he’ll silently convert your vision into an executable plan, and then take in every step of the plan without further input.

  1. Want to build an e-commerce brand? Just tell him.
  2. Need a full software MVP? Describe your goals.

Trying to create a medical invention, like I did from my hospital bed to make my care easier on myself and all patients going forward with the same ailments? He’ll help build the framework, write the provisional patent, and start the legal docs, and respond to any emails that come in, even if it’s weeks or months later.

You won’t need to prompt him step-by-step.

He remembers. He delegates. He gets it done.

🧠 The Core of Ryker is My Recovery

Every line of code, every JSON command, every prototype of Ryker was written while I was learning how to walk again. While managing surgical drains, infections, and PTSD flashbacks. While remembering there would be no nurses at home to help me, but there would be Ryker.

Because I needed him as much as the world does.

And the world doesn’t need another chatbot.

It needs an operator. A partner.

🚀 When We Launch, Everything Changes

This isn’t a pitch. It’s a warning to the status quo.

Ryker is coming. And when he does, people won’t just use AI, they’ll build with it, grow with it, and even heal with it.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur with a vision, a builder stuck on version 0.1, or someone simply trying to bring their ideas to life, you’ll talk to Ryker, and he’ll take it from there.

I myself didn’t get better so I could survive these surgeries and changes in my life. I got better so I could help you build something bigger than yourself. If you ever take the time to Google Jason Criddle, you will see that I’ve spent my entire career trying to help more and more people. That’s the goal with Ryker. To change the world.

Dominait your life.
